Variational methods play a central role in the analysis of nonlinear phenomena arising in mathematics and the applied sciences. This workshop will bring together researchers working at the interface of the calculus of variations, partial differential equations, and geometric analysis. The invited speakers will present recent advances in variational methods and their applications to a broad range of problems in continuum mechanics, materials science, fracture and free-discontinuity problems, homogenization, and related areas. By gathering researchers with complementary expertise, the workshop aims to foster the exchange of ideas across different areas of applied analysis, highlight emerging directions in the field, and promote new scientific collaborations.
