Applications are invited at the Research Unit Applied Analysis at the Institute for Mathematics at the University of Augsburg, Germany (with Prof. L. Beck) for a PostDoc position starting in October 2018. The initial appointment is limited to one year. The salary is according to the German public service tariff scale E 13 TV-L.

Applicants are expected to join the research activities. Possible research topics at the chair may include for example regularity theory, non-uniformly elliptic problems,
linear growth problems or BV-theory. The position also includes a teaching load of 5 hours per week during lecture time (which can be covered in English).

Job requirements are a PhD in mathematics and a good working knowledge in analysis, in particular in areas such as the *calculus of variations* and *partial differential equations*.
