PostDoc position in applied analysis at the University of Augsburg

Applications are invited at the Research Unit Applied Analysis at the Institute for Mathematics at the University of Augsburg, Germany (with Prof. L. Beck) for a PostDoc position starting in October 2018. The initial appointment is limited to one year. The salary is according to the German public service tariff scale E 13 TV-L.

Applicants are expected to join the research activities. Possible research topics at the chair may include for example regularity theory, non-uniformly elliptic problems, linear growth problems or BV-theory. The position also includes a teaching load of 5 hours per week during lecture time (which can be covered in English).

Job requirements are a PhD in mathematics and a good working knowledge in analysis, in particular in areas such as the calculus of variations and partial differential equations.
