Abstract:

The energy of a Von K\'{a}rm\'{a}n circular plate is described by a nonlocal nonconvex one-dimensional functional depending on the thickness $\varepsilon$. Here we perform the asymptotic analysis via Gamma-convergence as the parameter $\varepsilon$ goes to zero.
