International Centre for Mathematical Sciences, Edinburgh, UK

The theme of this conference is optimal transport theory and energy-driven pattern formation. In particular this meeting will bring together researchers working on theoretical and computational optimal transport, pattern formation problems for nonlocal particle systems, optimal partitioning problems, and applications in materials science, image processing and big data.

Limited funds are available to offer partial financial support for PhD students and postdocs. If you would like to apply for support please send a CV to the organisers by 14 June 2019.

The organisers are grateful to the following for their generous finanical support which has made this workshop possible:

Edinburgh Mathematical Society Research Support Fund
EPSRC First grant EP$/$R013527$/$2 Designer Microstructure via Optimal Transport Theory
Glasgow Mathematical Journal Trust Learning and Research Support Fund
Heriot-Watt University
