SUMMER SCHOOL ON TRANSPORT, FLUIDS AND MIXING
An activity of CIRM (Centro Internazionale per la Ricerca Scientifica)
Bellavista Relax Hotel, Levico Terme (Trento), Italy, July 20-24, 2015
The school aims at introducing researchers, especially graduate students and postdocs, to the state of the art in the analysis of transport and mixing properties in fluid mechanics, and related problems. The format of the school consists in minicourses by leading experts in the field.
SPEAKERS
Yann Brenier (CNRS, École Polytechnique, France): Concepts of generalized flows in Fluid Mechanics
Peter Constantin (Princeton University, U.S.A.): Uniqueness, regularity and long time behavior of hydrodynamic evolution equations
Charlie Doering (University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, U.S.A.): Models and Measures of Mixing and Effective Diffusion
Alexander Kiselev (Rice University, U.S.A.): Small scale creation in inviscid fluids
Partial funding to attend the school will be available to students and junior researchers on a competitive basis. More information about how to apply and the school venues will be available on the CIRM web site.
