Erwin Schrödinger Institute (ESI), Vienna

Applications are invited for the ESI Graduate School on Analysis and Applications, which will take place at the Erwin Schrödinger Institute in Vienna (Austria) in the week of June 22nd-26th, 2026. The school will feature four series of lectures:

Carolin Kreisbeck---Nonlocal gradients in variational analysis inspired by materials modeling

Antoine Lemenant---Regularity theory for free-discontinuity problems: from Mumford-Shah to Griffith

Giuseppe Savaré---Variational methods for evolution problems

Daniela Tonon---Hamilton Jacobi equations in infinite dimensional spaces

This event is mainly aimed at PhD students in Calculus of Variations, PDEs, and Applied Mathematics, although Master's students and Postdocs are also welcome to attend.

Limited funding is available to partially support participants. Those interested in applying for support are invited to register by sending a CV and a motivation letter to appl.math@univie.ac.at by March 1st, 2026.
