\section{Abstract}

In this talk we shall present Wigner measures as a tool for describing the limiting energy distribution of a $L^2$-bounded sequence of discrete functions and show how they can be applied to find necessary and sufficient geometric conditions for the existence of uniformly bounded least-norm controls for discrete wave equations.
