title: Rectifiable sets and currents in Heisenberg groups

abstract: We will present an overview of recent results by Franchi,  Serapioni and Serra Cassano concerning intrinsic notions of regular submanifolds and of currents in Heisenberg groups. Our presentation will try to be introductory and self-contained. Some related open questions will be raised.
