The Fondation Sciences Mathématiques de Paris (FSMP) is pleased to announce the forthcoming opening, on 17 December 2024, of the second call for the Cofund MathPhDInFrance doctoral programme, offering 25 Phd fellowships grant.

The main feature of the programme is that each PhD thesis is done in co-supervision between a university in the Paris region (Île-de-France) and one in a French region outside Île-de-France. In addition, to be eligible applicants must not have spent more than one year in France between 14022022 and 14022025.

More specifically:

- Step 1 (deadline February 14th, 2025) applicants submit their applications. At this stage, it is not necessary to have a thesis project or even a contact in France.

- Step 2 (deadline April 25th, 2025) applicants selected at Step 1 submit a full thesis proposal signed by the two potential supervisors, the two laboratories and the two Ecoles Doctorales

- The list of eligible laboratories in Île-De-France and other regions is available on the website. Laboratories not listed are not eligible.
