Applicants for a PhD position in Applied Mathematics are invited to submit their candidature.
Possible directions of research include:
- Mathematical Glaciology;
- Mathematical Elasticity and Viscoelasticity;
- Mathematical Biology.
The candidate should ideally have had exposure to the following contents:
• Numerical Analysis;
• Python programming;
• Partial Differential Equations.
The successful candidate will be hired under the Cat I scheme. For the category Cat I, full-tuition studentship (RMB 115,000 a year) is covered by the Advisor. PhD students should serve as Teaching Assistants (TA), and their TA pay will be commensurate with their TA loads in each academic year. The Supervisor may offer a monthly Research Assistant (RA) pay, which will be mutually agreed upon with the student.
