Postdoc position in Mathematics of Machine Learning at the University of Würzburg

A postdoc position will be available in the group of Prof. Leon Bungert at the University of Würzburg, starting on October 1st, 2024 the earliest.
The position is funded for two years, an extension will be sought. There is no teaching duty associated with this position and the gross salary is approximately 54,000 € per year, depending on the experience level.
The position will be funded through a project on robust compression methods in machine learning. The successful candidate will have a strong background in calculus of variations, optimization, or numerical analysis with interest in machine learning.
