Deadline: 28 jan 2024
A 3-years post-doc position is open in the ERC project Everything You Always Wanted to Know About the JKO Scheme (EYAWKAJKOS). The project concerns gradient flows in the Wasserstein space and their time discretization, the JKO scheme.
The position is expected to start in September 2024, with some flexibility if needed. More details on the website.
Different profiles of possible candidates can be appreciated: in particular, the project is composed of three parts, one on the study of the solutions of the JKO scheme (discrete in time, continuous in space), one on its space discretization (with, of course, numerical applications) and one on the study of the continuous PDEs.
