Applications are invited for one Phd position starting on October 1st, 2022 or as soon as possible thereafter.

The appointment is for four years and includes a teaching load (exercise sessions or tutoring) of approximately 4 hours per week.

The successful candidate will join the Research Group Multiscale Calculus of Variations led by Elisa Davoli at the Institute of Analysis and Scientific Computing of TU Wien in Vienna, Austria as a praedoc University Assistant.

Ideal candidates would have a strong background in calculus of variations, geometric measure theory, nonlinear evolution equations, or in applied analysis.

A basic knowledge of German or the willingness to become proficient in German in a short time are a prerequisite, for a big portion of the teaching is expected to be in German.
