We invite applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work with Professor Andrea Mondino at the Mathematical Institute, University of Oxford. This is a two-year, fixed-term position, funded by a research grant from the ERC. This project focuses on optimal transportation, geometric analysis, geometric and functional inequalities, metric measure spaces with Ricci curvature lower bounds (in the sense of Lott-Sturm-Villani), Lorentzian geometry and general relativity. The members of the team master methods coming from Riemannian geometry, optimal transport, functional analysis, metric geometry and metric analysis. The post holder will have the opportunity to contribute to the thriving research climate within the department, and further its international standing by conducting high-quality, relevant, research. They will attend and present their research findings and papers at academic and professional conferences, and to contribute to the external visibility of the department.
