The division of Applied Mathematics at Lund University invites applications for a

doctoral researcher position (fully funded for 5 years).

The successful candidate will work on a research project on the interface of partial differential equations and stochastic analysis, e.g. on

1 - mathematical models in material sciences

2 - the effect of noise on pattern formation

3 - optimal transport techniques in Deep Neural Networks.

The starting date is flexible, at earliest November 2021 and at latest August 2022. For administrative reasons, it is recommended that interested students send in their applications as early as possible.
