The Research Group on Applied Mathematics and Modeling of the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Vienna invites applications for

one Postdoc (2 years, approx. 53k € gross salary per year) and
one PhD-student (3 years, approx. 30k € gross salary per year)

starting in April 2020, or as soon as possible thereafter. Both appointments involve no teaching.

The positions are funded by the FWF grant Challenges for the WIDE variational principle (URL: https://www.univie.ac.at/appliedmath/public/WIDE_project/) and will focus on variational methods for evolution equations.
