The Center for Nonlinear Analysis is looking for a project director for the upcoming Summer Undergradute Applied Mathematics institute (SUAMI, http:/www.math.cmu.eduCNAsummerinstitute.html). The institute runs May 29 through July 17. This would be a young researcher (e.g. postdoc), who will also be involved in the research activities of the CNA during the period of hisher visit. There is a $3,000.00 USD stipend. Being project director for the SUAMI entails: -- The project director will be mentoring 3-4 students. It is a mutual decision (director and students) whether they work in groups or as individuals (or a combination thereof). -- The project director meets with each group every day (that's usually a commitment of approximately a couple of hours a day). -- The project directors give talks (advertising their projects) on May 31 or June 1. -- On July 16 and 17, the students present their projects (the directors are expected to help them prepare and to be there during the presentations.

The students who participate to the SUAMI are undergraduates who have completed their 2nd or 3rd year.
