A three-year research position (PhD or Postdoc) is available within the group Inverse Problems and Nonlinear Partial Differential Equations at Technische Universitaet Chemnitz, led by Jan-F. Pietschmann.

The successful candidate will (roughly) work in the direction of cross-diffusion equations with size exclusion, systems of Cahn-Hilliard equations and sharp interface limits. The position is suitable for a PhD student or a postdoc. A strong background in analysis is required, and knowledge of nonlinear partial differential equations is a plus.

The base salary for the position is according to 75% TVL E13, which amounts to at least 34400 EUR p.a. before taxes. A successful postdoctoral applicant will be offered an upgrade to a 100% position (at least 45800 EUR p.a. before taxes).
