The University of Münster, Germany, invites applications for a Full Professorship in Applied Mathematics (succession Burger), salary level W3 in the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science starting as soon as possible.

We are looking for an internationally renowned and committed individual in Applied Mathematics with a strong theoretical background who is able to link different fields of Mathematics in research and teaching.

The applicant's research should ideally combine different mathematical disciplines. Connections to the main focuses of research in the Institute for Analysis and Numerics are essential.

Intra- and interdisciplinary cooperation and collaboration with existing and planned research centres are expected, as well as participation in our teaching programs, including Bachelor- and Master courses in Analysis and in Numerics and the respective theses.

Prerequisite for the application are academic achievements made as a Juniorprofessor (assistant professor), in a Habilitation (postdoctoral qualification), as a member of the academic staff) of a university or non-university research institute, or in a research position in business, industry, administration or other relevant fields in Germany or abroad.
