Applications are invited at the Chair of Nonlinear Analysis at the Institute for Mathematics at the University of Augsburg, Germany (Prof. B. Schmidt) for a

PostDoc position

starting October 2017. The initial appointment is limited to two years. The salary is according to the German public service tariff scale E 13 TV-L.

Applicants are expected to join the research activities at the Chair of Nonlinear Analysis. The position also includes a teaching load of 5 hours per week during lecture time.

Job requirements are a PhD in mathematics or physics and a good working knowledge in analysis, in particular in areas such as the calculus of variations, partial differential equations, or mathematical continuum mechanics.
