PHD AND POSTDOC POSITIONS AT THE DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF BASEL, SWITZERLAND -- Workgroup of Gianluca Crippa
I am looking for candidates for PhD or Post-Doc positions under my supervision in the newly established Analysis Group at the Department of Mathematics of the University of Basel (Switzerland).
The main lines of research I am interested in developing are the following ones: -- Partial Differential Equations, mostly of hyperbolic type (with emphasis on transport and continuity equations and on conservation laws) -- Geometric measure theory -- Fluid dynamics -- Calculus of Variations Further details on my research interests can be found on my present webpages: http:/cvgmt.sns.itpeoplecrippa and http:/www.unipr.it$\sim$crigia55
Positions may start in Fall 2011 or later, by arrangement. I also encourage prospective candidates who may be interested in starting in Spring or Fall 2012 to contact me already at this stage.

Salary scales: from CHF 40.800 to CHF 46.800 (yearly gross salary) for PhD; starting from CHF 67.000 (yearly gross salary) and increasing depending on the years of expertise for Post-Docs. Teaching duties: one or two exercise groups per week during the semester. Suitable research allowances will be guaranteed.
