I am looking to identify potential PhD candidates for an anticipated position in my group at the University of Münster. This is an informal expression of interest intended to identify prospective applicants before the official recruitment process begins.

The project lies at the intersection of discrete structures (networks, permutation groups) and fluid dynamics.

The research will explore new ways of combining ideas from partial differential equations, combinatorics and differential geometry to address challenging problems in fluid mechanics. I am particularly interested in working with someone who enjoys exploring connections between different areas of mathematics.

Requirements: - A strong background in Applied Analysis.

- Interest in interdisciplinary research.

- A Master's degree completed by the time the position begins.

The starting date is flexible, likely after December 2026, depending on the availability of funding, the formal recruitment process, and the candidate's availability.
