Deadline: 5 jun 2026

Applications are now open for two 24-month postdoctoral research positions (incarichi di ricerca) at the Department of Mathematics, University of Trento, within the FIS2 project BRIDGE "Beyond Regularity in Differential Geometric Evolutions" - PI: Prof. Paolo Bonicatto.

The official call and application instructions are available at this link. The positions are for 24 months, with no teaching duties. The expected starting date is 1st August 2026, with some flexibility. The salary is approximately €2500 net per month.

Deadline. Applications must be submitted through the University of Trento online portal no later than 12:00 CEST on 5 June 2026.

Project description. The project BRIDGE aims at developing new tools for the analysis of evolutionary problems and differential equations in low-regularity regimes, with particular emphasis on problems at the interface between geometric measure theory, partial differential equations, calculus of variations, and harmonic analysis. See the official webpage for further information.

Candidate profile. The ideal candidates have a background in one or more of the following fields: geometric measure theory, analysis of PDEs, transport equations, theory of currents, curvature-driven motions, calculus of variations, harmonic analysis. Candidates will be evaluated on their research potential and, in particular, on the relevance of their profile to the themes of the project.

Funding. The positions are funded by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR) through the Fondo Italiano per la Scienza, FIS2 BRIDGE.
