Deadline: 22 mar 2026
Applications are invited for a 24-month postdoctoral research position (renewable) in Analysis at Bocconi University (Milan, Italy), with an intended start date of 1 September 2026 (flexible).
The position is funded by the ERC project MIND — Mathematical Insights into Dynamics of Incompressible Turbulence (Grant Agreement 101219635; PI Elia Bruè) and will focus on the analysis of PDE models, including the incompressible Navier–Stokes and Euler equations, and transport equations with singularrough velocity fields.
We seek candidates with research interests in Partial Differential Equations, with particular emphasis on topics including models in incompressible fluid dynamics, transportcontinuity equations with rough vector fields, mixing phenomena, and connections with energy dissipation, well-posedness and uniqueness of weak solutions, turbulent regimes, anomalous dissipation, as well as links to dynamical systems and ergodic theory.
The successful candidate will work within Prof. Bruè’s research group. The position carries no teaching duties.
Salary: the gross annual salary is in the range €45,000–€65,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
How to apply: For further information and to apply, please see https://jobmarket.unibocconi.eu/?id=915. Reference letters are not required at the time of application; however, shortlisted candidates may be asked at a later stage to provide up to three letters of reference.
