ERC Postdoc position at Bocconi University, Milan

Applications are invited for a 24 months (renewable) postdoctoral research position in Analysis at Bocconi University, Milan, with start date 1st June 2026 (flexible).
The appointment is funded through the ERC Advanced Grant 2024, 101200514, OPTiMiSE
Optimal Transport and Metric Structures for Evolution Problems (PI Giuseppe Savaré) and it will focus in particular on the analysis of metric structures, gradient flows,
dissipative processes, and the evolution of measures, through the development of new theoretical and methodological tools.
Areas of interest include, for example, optimal transport, the variational analysis of partial differential equations, and the study of optimization models, with possible applications to Machine Learning.
The gross salary ranges from a minimum of € 45.000,00 gross per year up to a maximum of € 65.000,00 gross per year.
The position has no teaching duties.
