Deadline: 14 jul 2025

CPJ (Chaire de Professeur Junior) are a new kind of positions in the French system, which allow to hire somebody on a tenure-track position with a first period (3 to 6 years) on a research contract with a salary equivalent to that of an early-stage full professor, turning then into a permanent senior positions. The present one is opened by CNRS, so the permanent position will be a CNRS Research Director position (i.e. permanent, and no teaching). Candidates currently abroad, either postdocs with some experience or young faculties, are the core target of these calls. Since this is a CNRS position, it is not attached to a specific university but is in this case ope to hiring in Toulouse, Nantes or Reims.
