At Bocconi University in Milan we have two openings for postdoc positions, funded by ERC Starting Grant "MAGNETIC", with P.I. Alessandro Pigati.

- duration: 2 years

- start date: either September 1, 2025 or February 1, 2026

- compensation: between € 40K and € 46K per year

We encourage applications from candidates with a solid background in geometric measure theory and elliptic PDEs.

In particular, the postdoc might revolve (but is not necessarily limited to) the following topics:

- new diffuse approximations of the area functional in low codimension (2, 3, and beyond)

- regularity and role of stability for critical points of the abelian Higgs model

- existence and regularity of parametrized varifolds in dimension higher than 2
