Dear colleagues,

please find below an announcement for the thematic week on "Geometric Measure Theory: Analysis and non-smooth objects" that will be held in Toulouse (France) from September 12 to 16.

Best wishes,
For the organizing committee

Date: Monday, September 12, 2016 -- Friday, September 16, 2016

Place: Toulouse, France

This thematic week encompasses three activities:
- An introductory course by Sławomir Kolasinski: Rapid course on geometric measure theory and the theory of varifolds.
- A mini-course by Ulrich Menne: Weakly differentiable functions and Sobolev functions on varifolds.
- Additional talks and workshop sessions during the week. See the website for a list of invited speakers.

This week is taking place in the framework of a special semester in Analysis in Toulouse funded by the LabEx CIMI. More details can be found at [www.cimi.univ-toulouse.fr/analysis].

There will be some space for additional talks, too, and special attention will be given to younger researchers. If you wish to give a talk, please mention it in your registration e-mail and include a 10 to 15 lines abstract.

Some funding will be available for younger participants (especially doctoral students and post doctoral researchers).
