Cari colleghi,

vi comunichiamo che domani, mercoledi'  26 marzo alle ore 17.00 nell'aula riunioni, presso il Dipartimento di Matematica (Univerista' di Pisa), la Prof.ssa Annalisa Malusa (Sapienza, Universita' di Roma) presentera' un seminario dal titolo:

"Sandpiles on a table with rims"

Abstract: I present some results, obtained in collaboration with G. Crasta, concerning the well-posedness of boundary value problems for systems of PDEs of Monge-Kantorovich type. 
This kind of problems arise from Granular Matter Theory in order to describe the stable configurations of sandpiles obtained by pouring sand on a container with a flat surface and a variable profile of the rim.
