Place: Gran Sasso Science Institute L'Aquila

The aim of the workshop is to bring together experts in applied mathematics, materials science, mechanics and engineering working, from different perspectives, on the interplay between discrete and continuum theories. The spirit of the meeting is to explore the most recent advances in the field in order to point out the main open problems and to foster an active interdisciplinary research.
