[CvGmt News] REMINDER: ICTI CMU-Ph.D. Fellowship in Applied Mathematics

ICTI CMU-Portugal Ph.D. Fellowship in Applied Mathematics, Carnegie
Mellon University

The ICTI Ph.D. Program in Applied Mathematics offers courses of studies
in Applied Analysis and in Probability, Stochastic Analysis and their
Applications. The students attending the program will study both at
Carnegie Mellon University and at one of the Mathematics Departments of
three partner Portuguese institutions: Mathematics Department of
Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), Mathematics Department of the College
of Sciences of the Universidade de Lisboa (FCUL), Mathematics Department
of the College of Sciences and Technology of the Universidade Nova de
Lisboa (FCTUNL).

Graduate students in the program are fully funded by the Portuguese
Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia and the ICTI. Ph.D. graduates of
the program will earn two doctoral degrees, one from Carnegie Mellon
University and the other from one of the Portuguese partners listed
above. Interested students should visit http://icti.math.cmu.edu
Interested applicants should follow the common graduate student
application process (http://www.math.cmu.edu/graduate/admissions.html)
for the Department of Mathematical Sciences, but make a special note of
interest in this fellowship. Review of applications will begin on
January 15, 2010, and will continue till the positions are filled.
