Abstract:
We prove uniqueness of $L^2$-continuous entropy solutions of the Burgers--Hilbert equation on the real line and on the torus. The proofs combine a Kato inequality with logarithmic endpoint estimates for the Hilbert transform and Osgood's lemma.
