Kolochava, Zakarpattya region, Ukraine

This school continues the tradition of Algebra, Topology and Analysis (ATA) summer schools in Ukraine (see here for the whole history of these schools). It combines scientific lectures and talks with informal communication and discussions. This year’s edition will have minicourses on sub-Riemannian geometry and optimal transport along with other lectures delivered by the school participants. The aim of the School is to support talented students and postgraduates who are interested in fundamental mathematical research and to supply them with the newest information concerning the current status of research in these fields. There will also be some preliminary lectures on the basics of manifolds, foliations, spaces of jets, etc., aimed to help participants follow the subject.

The summer school is organised with the International Centre for Mathematics in Ukraine (ICMU), with additional financial support from CIMPA, the AMS, and the EMS. It will be held at the Research and learning centre "Synevyr” of the Mykhailo Drahomanov Ukrainian State University in the village of Kolochava in the Ukrainian Transcarpathia.

All participants will be provided meals and lodging at the centre. Travel funding is available and can be requested in the application form.

Organizers: Taras Banakh, Dmitriy Bolotov, Samuël Borza, Olena Karlova, Wilhelm Klingenberg, Sergiy Maksymenko.
