31 aug 2026 - 4 sep 2026 [open in google calendar]
CIRM (Trento)
This workshop aims to address the analysis of multiscale phenomena, which arise in many natural and applied contexts such as neuroscience, geophysics, and chemistry. Its focus is on Geometric Singular Perturbation Theory (GSPT) as a central framework for decomposing complex dynamics into slow and fast processes, and on recent extensions that broaden its applicability beyond classical settings. A key goal is to discuss challenges posed by more realistic and higher-dimensional systems, including PDEs and complex network-based models. By bringing together core experts in GSPT and researchers from related fields, the workshop seeks to stimulate new ideas and methodological advances. An additional objective is to support the development of early-career researchers by exposing them to emerging directions and interdisciplinary perspectives within the field.
Participation is free of charge, but registration is mandatory.
Organizers: Annalisa Iuorio, Kristian Uldall Kristiansen, Nikola Popovic, Cinzia Soresina, Martin Wechselberger.
