The Barcelona Introduction to Mathematical Research 2026 is a program for students (mainly in their 3rd or 4th year, from any university) that will take place at CRM in July 2026. The intention of this program is to attract students into the first steps in mathematical research. More specifically, the students participate in the following activities:

1. Working on a tutored research project in mathematics during July.

2. Attendance to minicourses during June 29 - July 3 and July 6 - 10.

3. Attendance to the round table "Academic career in mathematical research: what to do and when" and a general public talk.

4. Participation in weekly social events (coffee breaks during the minicourses and one social pizza evening for each of the four weeks of the program).

There are accommodation fellowships for the whole month of July. The registration is free of cost, but in order to participate it is necessary to fill in an application form by March 27, 2026, attaching required documentation. A committee will evaluate candidates, and resolutions with acceptance and assignment of projects will be sent by April 15, 2026.
