The XXII Escola de Geometria Diferencial will be held July 13–17, 2026, in Teresina, Piauí, Brazil.
The Escola de Geometria Diferencial was conceived by Manfredo Perdigão do Carmo, with its first edition organized by the Instituto de Matemática Pura e Aplicada (IMPA) in Rio de Janeiro in 1974. This event marked the beginning of a new phase in Brazilian research in differential geometry. Several recently graduated PhDs, returning from studies abroad, played a key role in establishing research groups at institutes and universities in cities such as Brasília, Campinas, Fortaleza, Rio de Janeiro, and São Paulo.
