Modena
The Workshop is part of a longstanding bilateral project between Brazil and Italy; initiated in 1993 by the prominent mathematician Djairo G. de Figueiredo on the Brazilian side, and Carlo Pagani and Bernhard Ruf on the Italian side. This collaboration has deep roots, particularly through the interaction between Italian researchers in the field of Nonlinear Differential Equations and various Brazilian research groups from Campinas, João Pessoa, São Carlos, Brasília, São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. As a consolidation of these collaborative efforts, a Brazilian-Italian Workshop is organized approximately every two years, alternating between Italy and Brazil. There was a break between 2019 and 2023 due to the pandemic. The most recent workshops were held in
Brasília (Brazil, 2023) Varese (Italy, 2019)
The 2025 edition is jointly organized by the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia and the University of Milano La Statale, with additional financial support from GNAMPA–INdAM, with the patrocinio of the Comune di Modena — thanks to which the workshop will be held in the Sala Ex-Oratorio at Palazzo dei Musei — and the patrocinio of the Regione Emilia Romagna.
