Abstract.

In joint work with J. van Schaftingen and Po-lam Yung we extend the borderline Sobolev inequalities found on Euclidean space by Bourgain and Brezis to Riemannian symmetric spaces of non-compact type of any rank and dimension. We give applications to 2D Navier-Stokes and vorticity equation and to Maxwell equations.
