The Institute of Analysis and Numerics at the University of Münster is seeking to fill the post of a

PhD - Doctoral researcher - Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiterin - Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter Salary Level E 13 TV-L, 75%

at the earliest possible date. The fixed-term position is scheduled for a duration of three years. Currently, the regular full employment time is 39 hours and 50 minutes per week. All posts can, as a rule, also be filled as part-time positions if there are no compelling work-related reasons against doing so.

The successful candidate will join the research group Mathematical Fluid Dynamics headed by Professor Christian Seis. The scope of duties includes research in the area of partial differential equations within the DFG-funded project Transport equations, mixing and fluid dynamics. The position offers the opportunity to acquire a PhD (Dr. rer. Nat.).

Requirements: Candidates should hold a master (or equivalent) degree in mathematics or related fields and should have acquired basic knowledge in the field of partial differential equations.
