Postdoctoral position on ERC project in PDEs and Calculus of Variations

Prof. Alessio Figalli invites interested researchers to apply for a 2 year postdoctoral position to work under his supervision on a topic related to his ERC project. This project focuses on problems in Partial Differential Equations (PDEs) and the Calculus of Variations. The main focus of the project is on free boundary problems, optimal transport and Monge-Ampère equations, transport equations with rough vector fields, and stability in functional and geometric inequalities. The members of the team master methods coming from nonlinear PDEs, Calculus of Variations, Functional Inequalities, and Geometric Measure Theory. The starting date is flexible and can be any date between 15. February 2019 and 01. September 2019
The position does not carry teaching duties, but there is the possibility of teaching an advanced course if desired.
