The Department of Mathematical Sciences seeks to appoint two outstanding candidates at Lecturer (Assistant Professor) level. We welcome applications from exceptional scholars with research and teaching interests in applied mathematics (other than theoretical particle physics and general relativity).

This post offers an exciting opportunity to make a major contribution to the development of the Department’s research and teaching. Preference may be given to candidates with research interests that fit in with existing ones in the Department, in particular partial differential equations, the calculus of variations, solar magnetohydrodynamics and mathematical biology.

In addition to these positions there are currently two vacancies in pure mathematics, one vacancy in probability, and many other vacancies across the university.
