The ERC Workshop on Geometric Analysis on sub-Riemannian and Metric Spaces will take place at the Centro di Ricerca Matematica Ennio De Giorgi in Pisa from October 10th to 14th, 2011. In the last years, Geometric Analysis on sub-Riemannian spaces proved to have an interesting interplay with Analysis in Metric Spaces. The aim of this workshop is to present recent progress in these two areas, encouraging scientific exchange on current developments.

The workshop is a relevant part of the ERC project GeMeThnES and it is intended to outline recent research in sub-Riemannian Geometry and Analysis on Metric Spaces, encouraging scientific exchange in these research streams.

All people that wish to join this workshop are warmly invited to register at the following link http:/www.crm.sns.itevent208 , where more information is now available.

For those junior researchers that wish to give a short talk, grants are available upon selection. Prospective candidates must send their CV, title and abstract of their talk and possibly one or more letters of recommendation to the address below:

Prof. Luigi Ambrosio, l.ambrosio@sns.it, Scuola Normale Superiore, Piazza dei Cavalieri, 7, 56126 Pisa Italy
