The Thematic Programme, for the fall 2002, of the Istituto Nazionale di Alta Matematica (INdAM) , Milano Section, will be devoted on some aspects of Nonlinear Analysis and Differential Equations and will take place from sept. 15th to nov 15th, 2002. During this period , a series of short courses will be held at the Department of Mathematics and Applications of the University of Milano Bicocca. The Thematic Programme covers the following topics: - Vortex Theory in superconductivity and Chern Simons Theory - Concentration phenomena and nonlinear PDE?s - Variational and Topological methods for Dynamical Systems - Nonlinear Analysis on Manifolds

The core lecturers of the minicourses will include: A. Ambrosetti (SISSA, Trieste), V. Benci (Univ. of Pisa), F. Béthuel (Paris VI), A. Chang (Princeton Univ.), N. Dancer (Univ. of Sydney), M. Del Pino (Un. of Chile) M. Esteban (CEREMADE, Paris IX), YY Li (Rutgers Univ.), R. Nussbaum (Rutgers, Univ), E. Séré (CEREMADE, Paris IX), H.M. Soner (Koch Univ. Istambul), M. Struwe (ETH Zurich), G. Tarantello (Univ. of Roma Tor Vergata). In addition, there will be one hour invited talks and there will be room for some short communications.
