Sub-Riemannian geometry and related fields: current trends and open problems
-----------------------------------------

Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to announce the conference
Sub-Riemannian Geometry and Related Fields: Current Trends and Open Problems

to be held at the Institut Henri Poincaré (IHP), Paris, on 19–23 April 2027.

The conference will bring together researchers working in sub-Riemannian geometry and its connections with geometric analysis, geometric control, geometric measure theory, metric geometry, optimal transport, PDEs, spectral theory, noncommutative geometry, and stochastic analysis.
The program will combine invited lectures, short talks, discussions, and a poster session, with particular attention to the participation of early-career researchers.

An important aim of the conference will be not only to present recent developments, but also to stimulate discussion of major open questions and emerging research directions in sub-Riemannian geometry and related areas.

Further information concerning the program, speakers, registration, and financial support for early-career participants will be available on the conference webpage:

https://indico.sissa.it/event/194/

Registration for all participants is free but mandatory. The deadline for the registration is on 12 March 2027.

Please feel free to forward this announcement to anyone who may be interested.

Organizers:
Luigi Ambrosio (Scuola Normale Superiore)
Ugo Boscain (CNRS & Sorbonne Université)
Isabelle Gallagher (École Normale Supérieure)
Karen Habermann (University of Warwick)
Luca Rizzi (SISSA)
Tommaso Rossi (Università dell’Aquila)
Emmanuel Trélat (Sorbonne Université)
