Applications are invited for a 2-year post doc position in the group of Caterina Zeppieri (Applied Mathematics - WWU Münster, Germany) within the framework of the DFG project 

"Homogenization and elliptic approximation of random free-discontinuity functionals".

The ideal candidate shall have a PhD in Mathematics (or in a closely related field) and a strong background in one or more of the following areas: the calculus of variations, geometric measure theory, homogenization, ergodic theory.

The successful candidate will benefit from the stimulating environment and the facilities of the Cluster of Excellence "Mathematics Münster: Dynamics - Geometry - Structure".

The expected starting date is *November 1, 2019* although some flexibility is possible.
