http://cvgmt.sns.it/event/410/

Date: Monday, May 15, 2017 -- Friday, May 19, 2017

Place: Istituto Nazionale di Alta Matematica (INDAM), Piazzale Aldo Moro, 5, Roma

The Workshop will provide an overview on recent results in the mathematical modelling of old and new materials and in the description and simulation of their behaviour, with an outlook towards innovative industrial applications.
The Workshop will include a mini-course accounting for recent research activity on the modeling of plastic effects at finite strains by means of variational modeling. A short introduction to Uncertainty Quantification will be also provided.

For additional information, please visit the workshop website at the following address:

Submission for contributed talks is now open. Contributed talks will be 30 minute long (25+5 of questions). Topics of interest include (but are not limited to) the modelling, analysis, numerics, simulation and uncertainty quantification of innovative materials, devices or manufacturing processes. Please send a title and a one-page abstract to the following address:

wimmia at imati.cnr.it

A limited number of grants to support the participation of PhD students and young Post-Docs will be available. Please send a motivated request, together with a CV, to the address above.|
The submission deadline for both contributed talks and grant applications is *March 20, 2017*.
