Dear colleagues,

I would like to bring to your attention the opening of a full-time academic
position in Brussels in the field of Partial Differential Equations.

   Field of Research: Analysis of partial differential equations.

   The hiring committee will consider applications from all subfields of
   partial differential equations. New expertise to the analysis & PDE group
   at ULB is particularly welcome. A high level of research (commensurate with
   career stage) is an important factor in the committee’s decision.

   The teaching duties at the time of hiring will include: Bachelor and
   master courses.

   The successful candidate will give analysis classes and one course of
   mathematics for students majoring in another science (for a total up to 90
   hours during the first three years). Courses may include Measure theory and
   Function spaces and Fourier analysis in the bachelor program, and
   Functional analysis and an advanced course in PDE (topic to be chosen by
   the successful candidate) in the master program. All courses can be taught
   in English during the first two years.


After the trial/adaptation period of 3 years, the position will become
permanent and the teaching load will increase up to 120 hours per year.
