Dear colleagues,

please draw the attention of appropriate candidates to the Research
Assistant position
at the Department of Mathematics, Pavia University in ``Evolutionary partial
differential equations and phase transitions: variational and entropy
methods''

The position has a duration of 1 year, starting on May 1, 2014. It may be
extended for another year after positive evaluation.  The research is
carried out in collaboration with the ERC project ”Entropy formulation of
Evolutionary phase transitions”, Principal Investigator: Elisabetta Rocca.
The gross salary for the position is fixed in  euros 19367 per year. This
corresponds, approximately, to a net salary of euros 1360 per month.

The main research topics pertaining to the call are the following:

– Mathematical analysis of evolutionary PDE’s;

– Variational and entropy methods;

– Mathematical modeling of physical phenomena.

The closing date is March 31st, 2014.
