5 Post- Doctoral Scholarships in Campinas - Brazil

The Institute of Mathematics, Statistics, and Scientific Computation at the
State University of Campinas, seeks candidates for post-doctoral positions
through the National Programme for Post- Doctoral Scholarships (CAPES). Two
scholarships are allocated to Mathematics, two to Applied Mathematics, and
one to Statistics.

We look for candidates with strong and proven research record and
potential. Possible interaction with the research groups of the Institute
may be an advantage.
The scholarship consists of a monthly payment of 4100 brazilian reals per
month (tax-free money), plus some travel grant. The positions are initially
for one year and may be renewed depending on progress.

The scholars are expected to teach some undergraduate or graduate classes
(at most one course per semester), depending on the necessity of the
corresponding Department.
The candidates are expected to send via e-mail, the following documents:

   1.

   Curriculum Vitae with a list of publications.
    2.

   Research project and statement.
    3.

   Names, addresses, and e-mails of two to three professors who could send
   us reference letters

   if asked.
